Stretch Wrapping Film also known as stretch film or stretch wrap is a highly stretchable plastic film commonly used to wrap and secure products on pallets for storage or transport. It holds items tightly together to prevent shifting, damage, or contamination.

Key Features:

• Material: Usually made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)

• Stretchability: Can stretch up to 300% of its original length

• Cling: One or both sides cling to help the film stay in place

• Transparency: Allows for easy product identification and barcode scanning

• Puncture Resistance: Designed to withstand sharp edges and corners

• Thickness: Available in various gauges (typically 1230 microns or more)

• Types:

  1. Hand Stretch Film Applied manually with a handheld dispenser

  2. Machine Stretch Film Applied using automatic or semi-automatic stretch wrap machines

  3. Pre-Stretched Film Already stretched to a certain degree, making application easier and reducing film usage

  4. Colored/Opaque Film Used for concealing contents or coding

  5. Vented Stretch Film Has holes or slits for products that need airflow (e.g. produce)
